Objectives

To sell complex computer solutions based on industry standards through quality Account Management and New Business sales via telephone to Schools and other educational establishments in the UK.

Key Tasks

  • You will manage a number of UK accounts and be responsible for selling our full range of products and services in to these establishments.
  • You will handle the majority of incoming enquiries and will be the primary point of contact for educational establishments in defined areas.
  • You will pass complex technical enquiries on to specialist staff but will ensure that those enquires are dealt with effectively.
  • You will follow-up with customers to ensure that their enquiries have been dealt with satisfactorily.
  • You will be expected to maintain contact with customers until the deal is closed or lost - and beyond.
  • You will track all contacts with customers.
  • You will work with other staff to influence company development priorities in the light of feedback from customers.
  • You will be expected to develop a thorough knowledge of our products and you will be given extensive help and training whilst you learn about our products and the office systems that we use.
  • You will be expected to respond to requests from partners within agreed SLA limits and work closely with partner sales teams to achieve joint sales results.

Skills and qualifications

Essential

  • Good written and spoken English. The ability to compose clear and effective letters and emails.
  • Be comfortable with expensive telesales activity including cold calling prospective clients.
  • A good telephone manner. The ability to listen to and understand a customer's needs and then to suggest solutions and/or alternative strategies to meet those needs.
  • A real concern for our customers which you demonstrate verbally, in writing and by your actions.
  • The ability to gain the justified trust of customers and to close a deal.
  • The ability to interact effectively with other staff whilst being aware of their need to carry out their own work.
  • The ability to organise yourself well, to set goals, to plan and execute the plan successfully. Punctuality, reliability and honesty in all your dealings with staff and customers.
  • A good level of competence with MS Word and Outlook. Some experience of MS Excel.
  • Previous experience of selling into UK schools and educational establishments.

Desirable

  • Previous IT Infrastructure telesales experience

Hours

09:00 to 17:30 Monday to Friday, with up to one hour for lunch
