Ramesys is preferred bidder for the ICT element of Waltham Forest's BSF project
Ramesys: Building Better Partnerships
Ramesys is preferred ICT bidder for a £200 million Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme with Waltham Forest council as part of the Bouygues Partnership for Education and the Community (BPEC) bid. This is the second major win for Ramesys under the national BSF initiative.
The success of the Bouygues bid builds on Ramesys' preferred bidder status for ICT support for Manchester City Council's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) Phase One programme, announced in August 2006.
The London Borough of Waltham Forest's initiative will see the launch of a new 10-year partnership between Partnerships for Schools (PfS), the Council and BPEC, to refurbish or rebuild all the secondary schools in the borough and maintain them properly over their lifetime. Ramesys worked with Bouygues UK (design & build), Ecovert FM (facilities management) and HSBC Infrastructure (equity) to bid for the initiative.
Councillor Chris Robbins, the Council's Cabinet Member for Children's Services said, 'Waltham Forest's children deserve the best, in teaching, buildings and ICT. We are delighted and impressed with the imagination and innovation with which BPEC have approached our project, and look forward to working with them closely over the next 10 years.
